Membership

Membership is open for all with interest in Swedish immigration to the United States of America, adopted Swedish customs, Swedish ancestry and impact Swedish immigrants have made on USA and the State of Wisconsin. As a member you will

  • Have access to all society meetings and events. Meetings include FIKA, Swedish appetizers cookies, pastry and coffee.
  • Meet and socialize with people with similar interest.
  • Receive the society newsletter issued quarterly.
  • Have access to the Genealogy Research Group and mailings.
  • Membership fees and donations are tax deductible.

New Members

Application Form: Please download, print and complete the application form linked below and mail it to Swedish American Historical Society of WI, Inc. c/o Irene Roberts, Treasurer, P.O. Box 166, Eagle, WI 53119. If you have any information about your Swedish ancestry or any other information why you are interested to join, please add some notes in the section “Swedish heritage, city, province, …”. This information is not required; however, it will help us in the planning of society events.

Membership application form

Payment: Swedish American Historical Society of Wisconsin, Inc. is a non-profit organization and is dependent on individual membership fees, $15 annually, and donations to be able to operate. Please do not feel that you are obligated to donate in addition to the $15 membership fee, however any donation over and above the $15 membership fee is greatly appreciated and goes directly to fund our programming.

Please note that Swedish American Historical Society of Wisconsin, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization. (a corporation, trust, unincorporated association, or other type of organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code.) Membership fees and donations are tax deductible.

You can either pay by check or by credit or debit card. If you pay by check, please mail it together with completed application form. Make check payable to “Swedish American Historical Society of WI, Inc.”. If you like to pay using credit or debit card, please use the payment button below. If you elect to donate in addition to the membership fee update the amount in the payment amount field.

Membership renewal

Renewal of membership can be done by completing the Membership renewal form and mailing it together with a check to SAHSWI treasurer. Mail it to Swedish American Historical Society of Wisconsin, Inc., Irene Roberts, Treasurer, P.O. Box 166, Eagle, WI 53119.
